Adult Faith Formation

Welcome to St. Joseph's Catholic Church!
Whether you are a lifelong Catholic or exploring your faith for the first time, we invite you to join us for Mass, faith formation, and community., We are a vibrant community of faith, dedicated to following the teachings of Jesus Christ. Our parish offers a variety of adult faith formation opportunities for spiritual growth, including:

• Mass: Daily and Sunday Masses
• Sacraments: Baptism, Reconciliation, Eucharist, Confirmation, Marriage, Anointing of the Sick for children, teens, and adults
• Religious Education: Programs for children, teens, and adults
• Parish Groups: Bible study, prayer groups, and social clubs
• Community Outreach: Opportunities to serve our neighbors in need.

Faith Formation is catechesis (teaching the faith) which aims to deepen people’s contact with Jesus Christ through educational and enrichment opportunities. Designed to touch the intellect as well as the heart, adult faith formation programs help people live and experience a more Christ-centered life.
  
Faith Formation can occur in a myriad of ways; ways that faith grows and deepens within the parish setting. To name just a few:

• Celebrating weekly liturgy
• Celebrating the sacramental life of our Church
• Being a part of a prayer group

• Koinonia  (community)
• Leiturgia (prayer and worship)
• Didache (teaching)
• Kerygma (proclamation)
• Diakonia (outreach)
• All of these ways of being and living Church are formational!  Each of these ways teaches and helps a person grow in faith. Truly, each is adult faith formation.
