Living Faith, Growing in Courage, Sharing Christ
Witness is our high school faith formation program for students in grades 9–11, following the Diocese of Crookston curriculum. This program focuses on helping teens grow as intentional disciples, ready to witness their faith in everyday life.
A central part of Witness is Confirmation preparation, guiding students to understand and embrace the gifts of the Holy Spirit as they prepare to receive this sacrament. Through dynamic discussions, prayer experiences, service opportunities, and faith-focused activities, students are encouraged to explore their personal relationship with Jesus and discern how God is calling them to live boldly as His witnesses.
Witness provides a safe and welcoming space for teens to ask questions, deepen their faith, and develop leadership skills while building meaningful friendships rooted in Christ. This is a time for students to encounter God in a new way and commit to living out their faith courageously.
Schedule
Sessions take place on Sundays from 5:00 to 6:25 p.m. at St. Joseph’s Church.2025–2026 Dates: October 5, 26 - November 9, 23 - December 7 - January 18 - February 1, 22 - March 8, 12, 26

Confirmation at St. Joseph's and St. Francis 2025-2026As you may know, the Diocese of Crookston is developing a new formation process for the Sacrament of Confirmation.
This process will be implemented fully across the diocese over the next three years. Several parishes are currently piloting components of this process.
Saint Joseph’s and Saint Francis are piloting the future “opt-in” model of Confirmation. In the past, there have been many requirements for Confirmation. The new process involves discerning readiness among the candidate, the family, and the Church.
Once the candidate opts for Confirmation, he/she will be required to attend the following formation sessions.
